And the results of the Semi Final round are...
    1. The War Hound and the World's Pain (13) vs Mother London (11)
    2. The Dancers at the End of Time (11) vs The Warlord of the Air (11)

A very closely fought round, though votes were down across the board on previous rounds, with Bastable barely managing to cling on to the tail-fins of his dirigible to force Match 2 to another tie-breaker replay. Although Dancers looked like having a slight edge thoughout the round there's surely all to play for still.

The Match 2 tie-breaker poll will open later on Saturday.
_"For an eternity Allard was alone in an icy limbo where all the colours were bright and sharp and comfortless.
_For another eternity Allard swam through seas without end, all green and cool and deep, where distorted creatures drifted, sometimes attacking him.
_And then, at last, he had reached the real world – the world he had created, where he was God and could create or destroy whatever he wished.
_He was supremely powerful. He told planets to destroy themselves, and they did. He created suns. Beautiful women flocked to be his. Of all men, he was the mightiest. Of all gods, he was the greatest."

The loss of Mother London is a tragedy akin to the burning of the library of Alexandria. I am inconsolable. I am going to listen to the blues.

Are we running a full week for the final?
Perhaps some campaign collectives might form to promote their choice? Or not. Who knows?

The result of the semi-final tie-breaker is:
        • The Dancers at the End of Time (42) vs The Warlord of the Air (22)

So Warlord managed to double its vote but Dancers nearly quadrupled its own, which is pretty impressive. Whether it can maintain that support in this week's Grand Final though up against The War Hound and the World's Pain, well, that's up to you isn't it?

And Bastable fans needn't feel totally disheartened because he - along with Una Persson - is included in the ensemble cast of The End of All Songs after all.

The Grand Final Poll will open at the start of Monday 6th June and run through to the end of Friday 10th June (UK times)

Bleh. Both results disappoint me more than I care to admit.

What a disgusting turn of events.
