I was thinking more Johnny Depp as the Moody Melnibonian...

He chooses his movies well, has the complextion and the attitude for the role... and he can act...what do you think?

Loved Johnny Depp long before he became a household name and still do but I would hate to see him as Elric

His face is just NOT the face of Elric Kinslayer. Too round, not elongated.

A 20 year younger Christopher Walken could've fit the bill but could, should, and would can't be confused with will fit the bill.
