  • Keith Roberts remembered

Whilst doing some surfing tonight, I came across this touching tribute to the late Keith Roberts on Amazon, from Dave Langford. Thought it was worth mentioning here.
'You know, I can't keep up with you. If I hadn't met you in person, I quite honestly would NOT believe you really existed. I just COULDN'T. You do so MUCH... if half of what goes into your zines is to be believed, you've read more at the age of 17 than I have at the age of 32 - LOTS more'

Archie Mercer to Mike (Burroughsania letters page, 1957)

      Thanks!

It was another Mike who first put me on to, 'Pavane', rather wonderful it is too. Slow, stately and building gradually to an impression of what might have been, if scientific progress, in Britain and around the World, had been slowed down for a few centuries.

A truly great book and rather beautiful.
