Quiet Monday afternoon off spent in Tanelorn's best pub. Sarah Vaughan Sings and Other Jazz Stars. Three or four tracks by featuring Sarah Vaughan, plus a great dirty blues number, Let's Have a Ball!, from Champion Jack Dupree. For the rest, mellow bebop from some New York jazz combo, not sure which, but perfect accompaniment whilst reading the big illustrated biography, by, Mark Evanier, Kirby: King of Comics.

The Thingfish Lounge seemed a bit less haunted than usual...at least it was until the old jukebox in the corner clicked into action and regaled me with Black Sabbath's Into the Void.
I responded by raising my right hand in a shot glass salute for all my old ghosts and with a fluid motion drained the last drops of bourbon from the glass.
As the final heavy metal chords faded away my old brain fog roared back with a vengeance.
This being a state of mind to shake off as swiftly as possible i mentally grasped for some sweeter sounds and somehow found Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake playing in my head - my Lunar God was jesting with me, obviously! 🙄
Thinking about it ...this piece of Ballet music was something of an internet meme a couple of months ago ...ah,perhaps i'm just getting a little historical now! :
