Sorry all. Rant over. (For now....) Evil cackle and sound of Teddies and balloons being totured and burst
A very funny post Red-Arrow  It made me laugh a lot!

I know the card industry is a business like any other, and needs to stimulate consumer demand to make a profit. But, why do so many people seem to buy into it? I thought Valentine's Day was bad enough, but this 'The Sweetest Day' seems even more insufferable. What will be created next, I wonder?

Granny-Day, of course! Imagine all the silly presents that could be bought and all the cakes the grannies would have to bake for their visiting grandchildren. Extra awards with the Duke of Kent, or Jeb Bush, visiting the "Granny of the Year" and presenting flowers!
Get your new "Granny-day"-Haircut now! And don't miss the newest Mel Gibson Movie "Bravegranny"![/b]

We have that too in the USA!!
          GrandParent's Day....

          Hallmark Cards, GrandParents Day
When they had advanced together to meet on common
ground, then there was the clash of shields, of spears
and the fury of men cased in bronze; bossed shields met
each other and the din rose loud. Then there were
mingled the groaning and the crowing of men killed and
killing, and the ground ran with blood.

Obviously ... me being ahead of the greedy industry would have been asking for too much! So there you are: GRANDPARENTS DAY
Next I suggest "Automobile-Day", and lots of them - one for my Volvo, one for my Oldsmobile, one for my BMW . Boy, that would keep us going! :P

Here is the entire list of holidays you can spend money on. As their site says "A whole year's worth of holidays". Some are legit, some are silly.

I think it used to be "Secretary's Day" (unless that is still there), now it's that convoluted mess.

And let's not forget Boss's Day.

                    Yes, Hallmark+USA=
