Yes, one might have expected one of the Eternal Champion books, but Byzantium Endures is such a fantastic work on so many levels. I'm greatly looking forward to reading the other Pyat books!

Probably just pushing Coupland, Doc. Jpod's supposed to be one of his best.
Huddersfield used to have one of the finest Indian restaurants in the country. It was about the ONLY restaurant in Huddersfield apart from Pizza Hut and chippies.

Coupland is a pretty astute cultural observer, and he is usually witty enough to make some pretty sharp criticisms without being heavy handed. jPod is good--smart and funny. I laughed out loud several times and loved some of the outright silliness. Probably better than Microserfs.
