    I think they should decide the winner by having each contendor line up with a hardcover copy of their book and then throw it at someone standing opposite them.

    Most damage wins.

    Now here's a headline that if literally true I'd pay good money to watch:

    McEwan fights Barnes for Booker.

    Whaddyamean its a 'non-contact' sport?! 8O Where's the fun in that? I wanna see blood and stuff splattered over the dining tables!! :twisted: *That's* the way to decide these literary contests.
