  • Cheddar Gorge, anyone?

Disclaimer: I don't know if games are allowed on this forum or not, so administration is given permission to whack me over the head with a large mallet or similar if I've done wrong. The game Cheddar Gorge is in no way my own creation.

The basis for this game is thus: Each participant adds one extra word or piece of punctuation to the piece, until a full stop is reached, whereupon a new theme is decided, and new round begun. The object of the game is to make the sentence as long as possible. In the original, the players spoke one after the other in a strict order, making very amusing sentences. This version differs in one important way, and there is no strict order of posting (Because that would just be boring, wouldn't it now.) Instead the rule is that you cannot post twice in a row.

Very well, let it commence. The theme is: The eternal champion

    The sardonic
The cat spread its wings and flew high into the air, hovering to keep pace with them as they moved cautiously toward the city. Then, as they climbed over the rubble of what had once been a gateway and began to make their way through piles of weed-grown masonry, the cat flew to the squat building with the yellow dome upon its roof. It flew twice around the dome and then came back to settle on Jhary's shoulder. - The King of the Swords
