  • The Sound of Mother London

The sound of 79 random locations in london

    http://www.thecentreofattention.org/

I like the conflict between the traffic and the birdsong in "78 11.31 am Grange Park Road, Enfield" and the river in"76 19.55 Hogsmill River, off Cox Lane, Chessington " is nice.

The highlight for me has to be "49 12.16 Hesiers Road, Biggin Hill, Warlingham" If you listen you can here a propeller-engined aircraft in the background, I wonder if it's a Spitfire? ;)

obviously, in some of them nothing happens, but some are really worth a listen
\"It got worse. He needed something to cure himself. What? he asked. M-A 19 he answered.\"

From these samples London seems to be very empty of people (except those in cars/on trains e.t.c) which is strange.

The random element of the work was an interesting idea, this Boyle family; they DO just stick a pin in a map you know.
