Book banned in some US schools/libraries

Some US schools and libraries have banned a book for the use of a 'bad' word, and opened a whole sackful of trouble...

I would have thought that children in the age range that this book is intended for would already know that word.

They know worst ( my daughter is 15 and i remember the first time she used some words .... )

that reminds me about Orwell' s 1984 where specialists rewrite books and poems to take off offending words .. what is not named does not exist ......

Legend wants that in very puritan houses, legs of tables were hidden to not suggest bad thinking .....
