Ah now that's just not fair. My beard grows all straggly, has bare bits around the jowls and is multi-hued, with natural brown, elderly grey and interloping red all mixed together.

Can't we have the future based around a physical feature that we can all attain given time, like beer guts or long eyebrows?

I am just guessing, but I think I see a parallel to the 1970's and 80's. At that time the world was divided into two great blocks - military superpowers who each had their vassal states. Occasionally they tested the strength of the other block by what we called "proxy wars" ... mainly in Africa and in South East Asia. In Angola you had the Cubans fighting for Socialism and the end of colonialism (instead of the Soviets), in other African countries the French sent in their Foreign Legion instead risking of a direct US involvemen. Or take the Israel - Arab conflict...

It could be that actually the Chinese are behind this encouraging the fat NK kid hoodlum to test the Western strategies and also the resolve of the US-Japanese-South Korean alliance for them. That area is strategically (and this includes the economy). It is perfect to have a puppet monster whose actions show how well everyone is prepared.
Unless of course, Kim Jong Un is raving mad and suoicidal he will not go the whole stretch.

Nope. Welcome to the 21st century.

With its economy slowing, China is increasingly worried about the nuclear ambitions of the little fat boy and is reining in loans to them as of two weeks ago. They said next to nothing about the US bombing raid when previously they would have sided with NK. My guess is they will liberate North Korea with the US putting up a show of protest, but secretly conniving, and good luck to them.

Hey LE, I concur with your analysis. A lot of the "dirty game" is played in the background and we certainly are not given any light at them.

I just thought this new North Korean leader was beyond any "radicalism" as he borders idiocy. The saddest thing is that millions of innocent citizens in that area my suffer the damages of his lack of sense.

No, the are run by Communists or some perverted version of it.

There will be no re-unitification of Korea in the foreseeable future as it is in China's interest to keep a buff zone.

I would be more concerned about the Japanese Islands in the South China seas, although since the leader of the free world can not accept other Islanders rights of self determination; I have doubt's if push comes to shove that American homes will be on the line.

I have not been following the news about this issue but I am starting to get worried. Will the North Korean start a war just to prove them selves strong ? What kind of effects should we see if they drop a nuclear bomb ? The North Korean government seems to be ruled by lunatics and fanatics.
