    Let's try some quatrains.

First, let's use the form with abab as the rhyme scheme. I'll contribute the first 2 rhymes. Anyone willing to give the second 2?

    a - LSN
    b - occasion
    a - LSN
    b - medication

    c -

    d -

    e -

We can go on if anyone feels the need.

The quatrains do not need to be connected in the form of a logical argument.

Fill in the d-rhymes if you like, HawkLord. I'm going to do the a-rhymes when I have decided.

Next? TM or the Mouser or Mikey_C or Perdix, maybe?

          Okay, that'll work.

A technical reminder: since the lines that end in "burning / turning" terminate with an unstressed syllable (feminine rhyme), those two lines should use 11 syllables rather than 10.

                  Mike,

                  Supply the f-rhymes, too.

mordenkainen, tu ne dois pas donner une coupe d'or. Nous avons besoin de quatres mots.

If mordenkainen doesn't want to take the next 4 rhymes, what about TM?

We can add more quatrains if more people want to participate. So feel free to jump in!

I suck at english verse. I can't even always come up with something to post as a joke.

You know, if people get stuck, we can help here. I know the feeling.

The way to unblock oneself is look at a set of words and ask what they suggest to you. Free associate, then we can help you rough out a few lines. Then we can discuss it here until you arrive at a formulation of how you want to shape your idea.

Makes it sound like a damned "workshop," but I prefer to think of it as the Mermaid Tavern or the Enclave school of verse-makers.

This is a terrific collection of end-rhymes. We're off!

If the Mouser shows up, we can assign him a final quatrain,
perhaps to be used as a refrain.
