In Search of Hawkwind is an entire album of Hawkwind covers by different bands. http://rocketrecordings.blogspot.ca/...-hawkwind.html

It's in the Hawkwind section of my local music store, but being unfamiliar with most of the bands I have no idea what it sounds li... wait a minute, YooChoob you say.

I know I've mentioned this before in another thread, but Silver Machine has become a firm fixture on the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain's setlist

(It segues from Ride of the Valkyries at around 2.10)

I "sang" in a garage band when I was a kid. We did covers of Master of the Universe, Brainstorm and Silver Machine and, boy were we dreadful!

Thankfully, no recordings of our efforts exist.

The guitarist, Ged Rylands, went on to play keyboards in a band called Ten, who were very big in Japan at the turn of the millennium. He was also rumoured to have played as a session musician with the Tygers of Pan Tang way back when.
Let me tell you a story 'bout a poor boy....

Yeah, cant really go with the death metal/black metal vocal thing. sometimes I like the music but then cookie monster starts singing and it ruins the whole thing.

how does cookie monster make so many records?

I used to be in a band that covered 'Spirit of the Age'.
