  • Alan Davey's GUNSLINGER

Has there been a discussion about Alan Davey's Gunslinger on this board yet?

Pure driving Motorhead/Hawkwind style powerhouse Rock 'n Roll. He's got Lemmy's bass sound down pat on this one.

TBH, Gunslinger sounds like a Motorhead tribute band. I wish I hadn't bought their CD. "Eclectic Devils" is much better.

Yeah, too right!! Check out these guys too - hardly a Motorhead tribute band, but hugely inspired them. I think you will like them! They are the business!

"Internet Commando" - great lyrics too.

Debut full length is out in a week's time.

I see what you mean about the nod to Motorhead.
That 3rd track is brilliant btw.
            Cheers Blackbeard.

Thanks for your thoughts on Gunslinger guys :)
If you bought "Earthquake In E Minor",then I'm the one making all the racket on guitar and vocals LOL
I wrote and/or co-wrote all the songs with Alan.

I do understand the Motorhead comparrisons, indeed it's something we have never shied away from.
But most of the songs were written in 1979-1981,with that in mind you can see how we were just doing the same style music that Motorhead became well known for and we didn't LOL...

My thanks to those that bought the album,it is VERY much appreciated.

              Been a while since I posted here,I'm a lurker,I just enjoy reading.
Forgive me for not spotting this thread sooner!!
              Nigel.
