The cat spread its wings and flew high into the air, hovering to keep pace with them as they moved cautiously toward the city. Then, as they climbed over the rubble of what had once been a gateway and began to make their way through piles of weed-grown masonry, the cat flew to the squat building with the yellow dome upon its roof. It flew twice around the dome and then came back to settle on Jhary's shoulder. - The King of the Swords

Have you heard the new song out by Toots and Bonnie Raite?
\"No, I think Space is a dimension of Time. My theory is that Time is a field and that Space exists as an aspect of Time.\" Michael Moorcock

      Berry-

It *was* the soundtrack for 1984. It was really good too, not at all the obtrusive pop songs one might imagine and as on the album of the same name - the songs were toned way down and made somewhat ethereal or instrumental for the movie. Some jackass, probably the director, has slopped on some other music for the recent DVD release. I have the original movie on VHS, and I have to assume it is far superior, even though I haven't seen the new DVD version. I am sort of boycotting it after my displeasure with another tampered with movie "Mishima" - where director Schrader decided Roy Scheider's excellent voice-overs were extraneous to the DVD release. In fact, he uses another person's voice, possibly his own - what an asshole. But back to Eurythmics - you must hunt down the extended version of Julia, I think it's their best song ever!

BTW, Bowie's Diamond Dogs began as a musical version of 1984 but the Orwell estate objcted to his approach to the material.

5 or so is just not doable for me...And what does "ITT" mean?

      ------------------------------

      Julia

      When the leaves
      Turn from green to brown
      And autumn shades
      Come tumbling down
To leave a carpet on the ground
      Where we have laid

When winter leaves her branches bare
And icy breezes chill the air
      The freezing snow lies everywhere
      My darling
      Will we still be there?

      Julia

      When spring rejoices
      Down the lane
      And everything is new again
      Will everything be
      Just the same
      Will we be there?

      Oh Julia

                    My favorite Artists

The artists and albums are already in order for both:

                    1) KMFDM - WWIII
                    2) Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
                    3) Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile
                    4) Rammstein - Herzeleid
                    5) System of a Down - Toxicity

My list has done a lot of shifting lately:

I just heard KMFDM for the first time a few days ago... and now they're my favorite.

I bought my first Dimmu Borgir CD about half a year ago and now I own 4.

Nine Inch Nails used to be at the top but I'm a little pissed off with Trent because he has tons of CDs... but over half are remixes of old material. I'd like to see more CDs with all new songs.

Rammstein used to be second but I listened to them so much that I've started to get bored with them. And their music isn't nearly as complex as KMFDM or Dimmu Borgir.

And I don't even own a System of a Down CD (but I have heard all of Toxicity a few times) but I really enjoy their music and their political side appeals to me.

I love the first two BOC albums, and am quite fond of bits of Agents of Fortune. But I listened to Cultosaurus Erectus once. Was this a blip, or was it serious decline?
