  • I was supposed to be heading to Brussels, this weekend, to attend Brosella, like I did last year. Two days of World folk & jazz. All washed down with Jupiler & some excellent World street food. South east Brussels, next to the Atomium, I might add. It was not to be.

So tonight, I'm listening to vinyl. Edith Piaf, 'Double Up, Greatest Hits,' 'Mary O'Hara's Ireland,' & Marianne Faithfull's 'Broken English.'

May end up listening to some Grace Jones.

In fact, suitably Ballardian, 'Warm Leatherette.'

May have to plug the old cassette player in, to listen to the Normal's version of the title track, on the, magazine giveaway, 'Underground Rhythm + Noise,' tape that
I've been hanging onto for the last 30+ years.

Will listen to the first side of Grace's album first though, for she does rock!

              • Well, there's a new album (the 47th) by The Residents.

I had thought they were no longer together due to band member's death(s), but maybe that was Negativland.

                  • ROADHAWKS, I already have all the material since it's been re-released by Atomhenge, but just the nostalgia of travelling back to 1976 was irresistible.
It's a trip in the Chronosphere enabling you to return to your periodic place of dwelling and visit the people you associated with at the time.
(Some of them have long since passed so strong memories can be revived.)
I'm waiting for sound samples from the new HAWKWIND LIGHT ORCHESTRA release Carnivorous. (coronavirus)

That first solo album from Fish is brilliant and certainly one of my all time favorites! You've probably already checked this out, but in case you haven't here's a link to his long anticipated final studio album Weltschmerz, which is finally available for pre-order from his website. I just can't decide which one to get yet. The deluxe version is a big jump price-wise from the standard version, but does come with a bunch of extras.

Thanks for the tip. I went for the deluxe: there's a LOT of extra there, particularly the artwork. And in 8 months, will I really miss the difference?
