not too bad. Quite old-school, I like that...
I wonder if there's a topic about french band Yrkoon ?
-
Nope, but they have an official forum and website. I believe we can talk about all the bands who refer to Mike here, can't we?

Do they? Well, considering the few things to say about them... I could also mention Witches, which is coming back in France (french language... sorry!).

This isn't the first band to be called Stormbringer, of course. I was friends with a Chicago-based hard-rock/metal band of the same name. They were okay; seemed like there was more talent in the band than slipped out in their songs.

While Yykoon are a very good band, they are not influenced by any of MM writings or ideas beyond the word Yyrkoon. They have stated that they chose their name as 'Yykoon' for its alien uniqueness but have nothing to do with the world of Elric.
A band I haven't seen mentioned anywhere here is Mekong Delta, a German thrash band started in the 80's. Heroes Grief from their self titled debut is all about Elric although it sounds like either someone told them the story and got some of the details confused or they read a badly translated abridged version, good song though. Their second album 'The Music of Erich Zann' based on the work of HP Lovecraft is outstanding.Last edited by John VIII; 12-16-2007, 08:59 AM.
