Fire in the East which is basically "Drang Nach Osten" 2nd Edition. First of the Europa series it covers the German invasion of the Soviet Union from Barbarossa to the Soviet Winter offensive of 1942. 2500 units, 6 21"x27" maps, 70 odd pages of rules.... This is gaming on a big scale...

N is for Nipper Versus the Kats released for the Amiga in 1993 by Craftgold.

The game was written for HMV (the one close to Oxford Circus) when they first started selling games. It is a stripped down version of the game Fire & Ice. It was also released as a coverdisk by Amiga Power magazine.

R is for R-Type, a horizontal scrolling shoot'em'up coin-op released by Irem Corp in 1987. It was converted to various home systems along with its sequel. Another shoot'em'up named IO that was released by Firebird just before the home conversions was the center of a big controversy due to the fact that it was a near identical rip off of R-Type.

    Next up E

S is for "Stunt Car Racer".

Stunt Car Racer (also distributed under the title Stunt Track Racer) is a racing video game developed by Geoff Crammond for MicroStyle and was published by in 1989.In the US it was published by MicroPlay.
The game differs from other racing games in that the races take place on an elevated race track, with nothing to stop the player from accidentally driving off the side. Most race tracks in this game have gaps in them which will cause serious problems to the driver if he or she fails to clear them. If this occurs then the player's vehicle is hoisted back onto the track (by a nearby crane) which costs valuable time. Turbo can be used to make a car go faster, but can only be used a limited amount of time in each race. The game got positive reviews when it was published. The game's 3D tracks resembled a roller coaster and were something new for players. Stunt Car Racer is often described as especially fun racing game due to its special kind of track design.

I used to play this game on my amiga many years ago.
    Great fun.

    Next letter = R
