An Elric movie?

I have seen several roumers that there is the Elric character has been licensed for film. Does anyone know if this is true? As much as I'd like to see a movie done of the character, I'd want to make sure it was done correctly...

Also, for anyone that cares, I've also heard whisperings of a Luther Arkwright movie..but I have no confirmation
