Was anyone else a fan of his work?
I haven't been over to Nighshade's site for a while, so I didn't even realize that he passed on back in January. Too bad. He wrote "The Well", probably one of the best horror novels I've ever read. One of my favorite stories of his was "By Reason of Darkness", a story about a Viet Nam vet.
Here's the link to his obit in the Seattle paper:

There's a collection of his work at Nightshade that I've been meaning to pick up. I've heard that the stories are superb. If anyone isn't familiar with his work, he is one of the most underrated authors of the last half century. (well I don't know how underrated I can say a guy who won nebulas, world fantasy awards etc. is, but I don't know too many people who have even heard of him)
