Has anyone else discovered these gems?
Sadly Hugh died a few years back but he must be one of the most underrated authors of recent times.
Much like MM they contain a wonderful mix of humour, dark humour, adventure and philosophy along with sci fi and fantasy.
There are ten books in the series, some of which seem hard to get cheaply now.
The funniest book is probably "The Walrus and Warwolf" the conversations between the pirates are simply sublime along with the characters.
The final book "The Witchlord and Weaponmaster" is one the greatest books i have read. It brings together all the other nine books in an epic adventure of wit, philosophy and fine character writing. Simply superb.
Some are cheap on Amazon at present and worth a look.
