I went 3 pages back in this forum looking for answers but to know avail, so I'll just ask about it since I'm probably not the only one looking for an update. I'm well into The Skrayling Tree (enjoying it quite a bit too) and wondering about the third book in this new trilogy.

Is The White Wolf's Son out yet? Does it contain the same basic characters as the other 21st Century Elric books? I read somewhere that it was going to be called Mournblade at one point. Does this mean we might find out whatever happened to that twin sword to Stormbringer?

The new book is called The White Wolf's Son. It introduces a variety of other aspects of the Eternal Champion, including Hawkmoon, and isn't the book called Mournblade I'd planned to write at some stage. This might well be the plot of a graphic novel, since I'm not planning to write any more Elric or Elric-related novels after I finish The White Wolf's Son.
Sorry it's taken so long. It was a bit complicated to work out, though I think it's probably proceeding pretty smoothly now. It's still in longhand as we speak and only the first chapter has been committed to computer!
Sorry, it's often the way I work. I'll be typing the book up over the coming couple of months.

Well, I suppose it's about consequence in the multiverse. Elric sets a ball rolling which then affects Hawkmoon's decision, which brings in The Runestaff, which might or might not be The Grail in another aspect, which is being sought by Gaynor the Damned. Before that there's a sort of Alice riff -- the first section is written from the POV of Oona's grand-daughter, who finds herself underground and then goes through a mirror image of Mirenburg to enter the world of Lord Renyard...

Hmm, i suppose i should finish reading Dancers then, and move on to the other books if i want to enjoy The White Wolf's Son to the fullest then... on the bright side i won't be so busy now that schools out, should have more time to read.

One thing I can almost guarantee is that the Dancers won't be appearing in the book, though the Warrior in Jet and Gold does. As do St Odhran, Prince Lobkowitz, Una Persson, Oswald Bastable and a few others...

Anyways then i'm going to have to read the bastable books, the hawkmoon books, finish the von bek books... *sighs* i have a lot of work ahead of me i guess... on the bright side i should have a great time reading them :D

With this info, it seems that with The White Wolf's Son, we're getting a kind of 'Multiverse's last bow.'

We've got Elric, Hawkmoon, The Warrior in Jet and Gold, Bastable, Una Persson, Gaynor, A Von Bek, Stormbringer, Runestaff, the Grail and maybe the promise of more.

I'm definatly looking for this one. With this and Vengence of Rome coming, 2005 will be the year for the end of two Moorcock series.

I was wondering if you could give me a list of the EC books i should have read before "The White Wolf's Son". If not that's ok (seeing as i wouldn't want to ruin all the surprises). If you can't, then you can you (or someone else) tell me what books i should read for the characters you've already named.
I apologize for my ignorance, i've only been reading the EC books for a year or two (and they're rather hard to come by, though i've found a better route than before, when i was buying mostly omnibus... i just discovered how much cheaper it is to buy them by book by book.) so all i've read is the elric books, the corum books, the dancer books, the new elric/von bek books, and the first von bek book. So i'd love to complete the series i've started, but i don't want to enjoy it as much as i can (i heard people going on and on about the other incarnation of the EC in Dancers, but that was my first exposure to him.)
