Making of a Sorcerer compiled into graphic novel?

I mentioned this in another thread a while back, but just wanted to check if there had been any word...

Is the Elric: Making of a Sorcerer comic series going to be compiled into a single graphic novel?

Not only would I love to have a copy, but I just found all four comics on Ebay and am wondering whether to get them or wait for an eventual compilation.

Well, I'll probably get them anyway (if I can get approval from Mrs. Kamelion, that is ) but a compilation would be cool also...

I thought the same thing a while back too: according to Amazon, the publication for a compilation is Jul 2007. Paperback only as far as I can see.

I'm guessing DC cannot match the quality of the French edition. Of course, that speculation is a compliment to your French publishers, not a criticism of DC.

The French edition looks like gravure and I think the DC printing method is a more ordinary offset process used commonly in the US. Pretty much ALL French BDs are sharper than their American counterparts. Remember how Metal Hurlant never quite looked so good when it became Heavy Metal ?

It looks pretty good in general, even if DC got the trademark and copyright assignations wrong in the book! Ho hum. And I think the story is a legitimate prequel to Elric of Melnibone, trying to explain how Elric came by his powers and developing his relationship with the black sword and with Arioch.
