Does anyone know why one album of Deep Purple is named "Stormbringer"?Is there some thread between them and our MM?

Greetings, marko. MM commented on this a while back. Evidently, DP thought Stormbringer was from ancient myth. You can read MM's story about it here."Wounds are all I'm made of. Did I hear you say that this is victory?"
--Michael Moorcock, Veteran of the Psychic Wars

I still wonder if they did not Bullshit a bit about the mythological basis you say they claimed mike... There have been gods demons and spirits and what else perhaps ascribed the attribute of bringing on a storm or the ability but they had names-I do not ever remember one in all my reading and my books which was called in itself stormbringer, It's done and over with and the Album has been out for a long while and Ritchie Blackmore has passed. But i kinda think in the face of the Master (you mike) they just knew it was a hot name and it worked and how could they not really know -they could have checked first or had people to do it. Thanks so much for your comments but Which specific myth basis? Did they say?"? ",qouz"! ' c. mackay from extraordinary popular delusions and the madnessof the crowds.

Blackmores not dead! I don't believe Coverdale for a minute when he says he didn't know where the title for the song (and then the album) had come from. Even the lyrics are sort of about the black blade:
Ride the rainbow
Crack the sky
Stormbringer coming
Time to die
Got to keep running
Stormbringer coming
He's got nothing you need
He's gonna make you bleed
