Dear Michael Moorcock,
First of all I would like to thank you personally for being such an inspiration throughout a long time for me.
Erlic, Corum and Hawkmoon have left their clear marks.
I've been working in the animation industry on several feature productions and am trying to get into fantasy illustration.
To push my portfolio in the right direction I produce a row of non comercially used illustrations, dealing with my favourite fantasy literature.
This is an illustration I did on Elric, called „the Strombringer“:

Elric was my ever first Michael Moorcock book. I read it at the age of fourteen, and it was the first book I had bought because of the cover art („Lord Elric“ by Rodney Matthews).
Right now the painting is published on fantasy illustrator John Howe's Website, where it participates in the monthly Fan Art's contest.
I would like to show it in my exhibition in december in my hometown Cologne, where I as well would like to publish it in the accompanying catalogue which would presumably be for sale.
Would this be ok for you?
If there should be requests for comercially usable products from the painting (such as poster prints) I will definetely contact Berry Sizemore.
If you are interested in the process of my thinking, researches and creation of the painting:
I documented it for other fellow illustrators on Mr. John Howe's forum:

With deep respect for you and your work and kind regards to you and your loved ones,
faithfully
Christian Schlierkamp
