Actually, Una visited The Old Circle Squared just before we left for the hills (Marin is similar to Simla, after all...) which is why I have the current story to tell, as you will discover.
Swords and spoons ? Not options, I'm afraid. You know how it is. The Dark Empire (not to mention the Lords and Ladies of the Higher Worlds) are bored with the familiar methods...
Mrs M is a saint, Doc. A saint. Would I say a word about her which wasn't flattering ? Besides, she's my best editor! And I can't get to a movie or a market without her good will.

I certainly wouldn't doubt Mrs. M's sainthood. I suspect that living with a prolific author wouldn't be easy for the impatient or ungenerous. :D And I apoligize for disparaging crazy Uncle Mike in The War Amongst the Angels. He was certainly entertaining, and did turn out to be pretty heroic.

By the way, the next time Una visits, can you send her down 290 toward Austin? I have a few questions for her... :)

If anyone happens to bump into (or trip over) Mitzi on their travels, can you pass on a message? Apparently the traffic warden has recovered her memory, but is still unwilling to talk to the authorities... the terrapin died unfortunately, but it was probably for the best. The poor little thing was having terrible nightmares.
