Dear Mr M.
Apologies if my question below is resolved by the end of the book and I'm wasting your time. If so, just tell me to read the darn thing! really enjoying the Corum books!!
Corum gets a glimpse of a character, who bears a striking resemblance to himself, and has an eye patch and hook for a hand. Jhary tells him it is the incarnation of the Eternal Champion in this world.
At first I though ahaaa! - this is Nelson. However, the local guards shoot arrows (surely they would have used guns) and Jhary mentions that this EC incarnation was born in Cornwall (Nelson I think was born in East Anglia).
Therefore, could you tell me which of these is correct:
1. Either this is a "Nelson" character but in another part of the multiverse.
2. It's based on another historical figure.
3. The character is your invention entirely.
manythanks!!
