    Sorry to say I'd not heard of the man until now. That he was a big influence on Ballard makes me want to know even more about him. Just a short look into Marker's work and I find that La Jetee was the basis of Gilliam's 12 Monkeys? Wow.

    Good age. Hugely influential. La Jetee etc etc. Big influence on Ballard. If you don't know his work I'd suggest reading current obits or Wiki entry.
