Just in case anybody in the UK is wondering, the shipping costs on The Dreamthief's Daughter are $20, so the entire cost in Pounds is currently £36.71.

I guess Christmas must be just around the corner or something because as well as TDD limited edition above, there's also 1 copy of The Vanishing Tower limited edition on eBay as well.

Archival Press Limited Edition of The Vanishing Tower

eBay Buy It Now price: $32

THE VANISHING TOWER by Michael Moorcock. Cambridge, MA: Archival Press, 1981. 1st edition. The swashbuckling and fantastic adventures of the moody albino prince-Elric-and his soul-drinking runesword, called Stormbringer. The two are on a quest for The Vanishing Tower, which stands at the nexus of space and time and is a gateway into other dimensions. Elric must conquer the demon that inhabits the tower and tame the soul of his black runesword. This tale and its heroes weave in and out of events throughout Moorcock's Eternal Champion series. With a full color frontispiece and twelve black and white illustrations and devices by Hugo and Howard Award winner Michael Whelan, this deluxe, slipcased volume is bound in attractive leatherette. Fine copy without dustjacket, as issued in cloth slipcase. Buyer pays $6 shipping. Insurance is $1.30 extra. Foreign rates figured iondividually.

Buy it now for $50.00??!!?? Wow... That's kinda sad actually, that they had to drop the price so drastically. This is an absolutely beautifully produced book, well worth the $125 it originally went for. For $50, I'm almost tempted to buy another just for the hell of it... Somebody please buy it before I give in to temptation! It'll make the perfect x-mas present for the MM fan on your list...

    Dear all,

If anyone's looking for the Blue Star and/or Archival Press Elric books, please bear in mind that there were standard, unlimited versions, as well as the signed, numbered, limited editions.

The books were slip-cased in all instances, but there are differences: the standard 'Elric Of Melniboné' comes in a red slip-case, whereas the ltd. ed. comes in a brown one. The standard Vanishing Tower' comes in an illustrated red slip-case, whereas the ltd. ed. comes in a plain brown one.

    Best,

    John.

    It already has:

The Dreamthief's Daughter Limited Edition (American Fantasy)

Elric of Melnibone Limited Edition (Blue Star)

There was also a limited edition of The Vanishing Tower published by Archival Press, but I don't have a cover image to hand. Blue Star were supposed to have published another limited edition (and may have done) but eventually went bust before they could progress further in the series.

    According to Mike:
The Blue Star Elric of Melnibone is a handsome book, indeed. It's a shame that series was never completed. The problem was that the publisher was also a junkie and spent all the subscriptions in Harlem...
See this thread for more info.

Special limited editions of MM books.

I would love to get a limited edition of the Elric books (or whatever really).
Meaning a Leather bound, numbered hardback edition with some sort of embossed cover.

Is there any possibility this will happen?
Working...
