the first time i had read the corum series, and found this character, i was nominally aware of jerry cornelius.
i found myself wondering if jhary was an incarnation of jerry, with the similarity in names. this would lead me to believe that jhary is the companion/champion, much like the von beks?
    could you clarify?

Well if Mike's not going to . . . Jhary. Jerry, Jharek Carnelian, and the initials JC figures in many of Mike's book, as well as the Bible. At times as the Champion, at times as companion and sometimes just in passing. If you read enough of the EC books, and the 'Blood' trilogy, this isn't the only place where characters take on different 'roles'.
