Hi Mike,
As Jack Trevor Story's literary watchman do think there is any hope of his unpublished novels ever seeing the light of day? I'm thinking particularly of Shabby Weddings (the teasing extracts in New Worlds and Brit-Pulp! are excellent reading) but also Brave Boys and The Art of Dying - just been (re)reading about them in Dwarf Goes to Oxford and it's agony not being able to savour them firsthand.
A small publisher (imho) would be a good place to start maybe. A good marketing job would (in theory admittedly) bring him to today's reading pool. I think young people would be attracted by his personal and literary qualities. He was never a yes-man and always floated round the margins of contemporary "literature". Also I think he has a lot of good advice for aspiring writers.
I keep battling on over here in Northern Ireland to spread the word with mixed results. One fella had heard of him but preferred Martin Amis!!! Sharpen knives...
