Not sure if this question has been asked before (demos or someone else can point me to a previous thread if it has), but I was wondering the other day how many copies of Mike's books have sold worldwide over the last forty years or so. Taking into account the numerous UK reprints in the 70s and after, the various reissues of books in the States, all the foreign language editions etc it must be a lot.

I'm not seeking any confidential information, or even an accurate figure, just a rough estimate of some kind. Anyone know? Mike?
'You know, I can't keep up with you. If I hadn't met you in person, I quite honestly would NOT believe you really existed. I just COULDN'T. You do so MUCH... if half of what goes into your zines is to be believed, you've read more at the age of 17 than I have at the age of 32 - LOTS more'

No idea...but I know we've got over thirty (regularly shifting) second-hand MM titles in our small, local, non-specialised SF or Fantasy bookshop. That's pretty bloody impressive as a sample! :P 8O

Somebody thought around six million a couple of years ago, but you know me and numbers... No idea. Must be a lot, of course, given the constantly reprinted titles in France, Germany, Russia and a lot of other countries. But I don't even know how many copies of White Wolf's Son were printed. I'm always afraid that if I ask they'll tell me 'more than ten'. Insecure, moi ?

Six million?! Wow, very impressive, if that's anywhere near accurate (and even if it's not I'm sure the true figure is equally impressive). I hope you got your royalties for every single one. :)
