Are you aware of the series "Berserk"? It is heavily inspired by you!

Kentaro Miuras, "Berserk", is the tale of a Conan-esque hero fighting an effeminate, royal, albino, evil magic-user who made a pact with a demon lord. Though they used to be close friends.

The antagonist character is literally Elric (in philosophy and action and motif), he even has the nickname "The White Hawk". It was this anime that got me interested in "sword and sorcery". I wanted to go back to the source so to speak and led me to read your work (which is fantastic).

So I just wondered if you were aware of this series and thought you may get a kick out of seeing a popular character heavily inspired by Elric.

Especially since in this series he does what you set out to do, challenge Conan.

Funny you mention Berserk. Back in 09 while I was browsing a Borders in Florida, I purchased both Berserk volume one and Elric: The Stealer of Souls (Del Rey).

Some of the imagery in Berzerk was in itself very influential on artists like Amano and videogame series like Dark Souls. Cloud Strife's iconic Buster Sword in Final Fantasy VII looks exactly like a sword in Berzerk.
