    Question: And now...a fun question

    Dear Mr. Moorcock,

I'd like to propose what I'm going to call a "fun question" about Elric. (I hope it gets a few laughs.) Suppose Elric were to start up his own rock band with Erekose, Earl Aubec, Dorian Hawkmoon, and Prince Corum. Would Elric play the guitar or--hang on to your seat--the saxophone a la
    Edgar Winter?

    Sincerely yours,
    Thomas R. Skidmore

Never really thought of it before but now that you've planted the seed in my head, I'd have to say I see Elric as the front-man, all the way. Mic in hand, foot on a monitor, a la Bruce Dickinson.

Elric would definitely be the front man. Not sure about instruments...probably bagpipes.

I would so pay to see Elric play the bagpipes.

Oh yeah. I'll not get that image out of my head soon.

              Elric!(obviously)

Nah he's a right moody bugger so he would never cut it on the pipes.

More of a keyboard player imo!!

The gig was going fine until the encore, when Elric's Black Rune-Guitar Stratocaster leapt from his grasp, decapitated the drummer, skewered the rhythm guitarist and finished the evening off by taking out the entire front row of the audience!

Afterwards Elric was heard to mutter sardonically, "Rock 'n' Roll for Arioch indeed!"

Jhary on drums and Zarozinia with a wicked tambourine!

Yeah! That would be memorable! That is shaping up to be one extravagant world tour, of a wondrous band.

Marvellous music & a tremendous time!
