It's a shame the convention isn't a little later in the year, I would have loved to combine meeting my favourite author and then going on to this exhibition in Paris: http://miyazaki-moebius.com/

Not just a brilliant artist with a huge following but one of the nicest guys around.

Yeah, I had the privilege of meeting Jean Giraud at a comics convention in London in, um, 1990-something. Unfortunately, I wasn't collecting sketches back in those days, because that really would be something to talk about!

Even so, this exhibition promises to be quite an event. The opportunity to look at original artwork from both Mobius and Miyazaki is simply too much for me to resist, so I think my girlfriend and I will take a day trip on the Eurotunnel train, London to Paris, probably early in the New Year.
