Welcome to Moorcock's Miscellany

Dear reader,

Many people have given their valuable time to create a website for the pleasure of posing questions to Michael Moorcock, meeting people from around the world, and mining the site for information. Please follow one of the links above to learn more about the site.

Thank you,

He's still Site Host. We'll let the multiverse be god. k?
Would the Creator of the Multiverse be described as God?

In retrospect, Mike did not actually create the Multiverse itself (if it exists at all), but instead created the concept/description for it.

Therefore perhaps Mike's site title could be "Creator of the Multiverse" (concept)

"I am the Creator of the Multiverse
the wind of time is blowing through me
things are moving relative to me
its all a figment of my mind
in a world that I have designed
    I'm charged with Cosmic Energy
Has the world gone mad or is it me?"

Yeah, Berry's proposal and selection is terrific.
Just too bad it came so soon, would have been fun to see what else the search would have sparked.

Here we go as Tanelornians and Guardians and Chaos Engineers!

Berry they sound fantastic. Really evocative! I vote for these if a vote is needed.

I can understand your reservations about changing the Admin title to something which a casual visitor may not understand, but it would be such a shame for the Admin to not have an evocative title too.

Thanks for the new ranks Berry, I like them a lot. :D
Though the Fear and Loathing ones were pretty good too!

    Marie,

We may just have to ressurect the idea of the Church of the Moorcockian Multiverse. As seen in your post:
    [broken link]

WWED? He would seek vengence while inadvertently killing his friends.

Yes I like Moonbeam Traveler too. It may be the first rank, but I think it sounds the prettiest. Ah Berry, that silver-tongued devil!

    Perfect! IMO

I liked Grey Mouser's, too, but then Berry threw "Moonbeam Traveller" in there and that tipped the balance for me-- I like that.

VW-- glad you like my signature. It's part of my new religion.

    Sounds good Berry.

Aww, no title for Berry. I guess its "No soup for you!".

Yeah, anyone coming here would be puzzled trying to find out who's running the show if you were the Servant of the Runestaff.

I like all these suggestions (VonWeiner - always the diplomat). I especially like the Moorcockian(? :? ) ones suggested by you and Grey Mouser.

Do we need a vote? I vote for those suggested by Berry. Anyone else?

I don't think we should change Site Admin though. Simply because people won't know who to contact if I am the Servant of the Runestaff.

Unfortunately the rank system isn't optional and so we must come up with something more interesting.

    How about:

Seeker of Tanelorn - up to 50 posts?
Resident of Tanelorn (Tanelornian?) - over 50 posts?
Champion of the Balance - over 100 posts? or Dreamthief (as suggested by Marie above). Or Chaos Engineer (checking DeeCrowSeer's signature above)
Eternal Companion - over 300 posts?
Eternal Champion - over 500 posts?

    Grey Lord = moderator?
Spirit of the Balance = admin?

My humble suggestion would be to use the Fear & Loathing "states of being":

    Square
    Hip
    Groovy
    Cool
    Gonzo

To be honest they're probably too vague, but I'm sticking to my guns... and packing them in the trunk of a red convertible.

Squier [Chris - Yes (but spelled Squire)]

Anything with either "Geezer" or "Grand Poobah" and I will vote for it.

How about all of us being COMRADES?
Comrade 1st class etc up to a few lonely "Comandantes" at the top.
    Comandante Michael, sub-Comandante Berry.

And it is fitting for both ladies and machos.

    Viva la guerrilla!
