Following on from a suggestion from Reinart I've added a new button to the forums called "Mask". It works exactly like the Spoiler button, but the intent behind it is for people to use it to mask things which aren't spoilers (hence they don't think to use the spoiler button) but which may (unintentionally) cause offence.

_"For an eternity Allard was alone in an icy limbo where all the colours were bright and sharp and comfortless.
_For another eternity Allard swam through seas without end, all green and cool and deep, where distorted creatures drifted, sometimes attacking him.
_And then, at last, he had reached the real world – the world he had created, where he was God and could create or destroy whatever he wished.
_He was supremely powerful. He told planets to destroy themselves, and they did. He created suns. Beautiful women flocked to be his. Of all men, he was the mightiest. Of all gods, he was the greatest."Tags: None

How to use the spoiler & mask features
If you don't want to ruin a surprise, ending or other detail, you could:
use the SPOIL code to hide the surprise.
If you have a feeling something you are about to write would possibly offend a reader according to your own judgement you could:
use the MASK code to hide your statement allowing some one to choose to reveal your opinion.
Many members here use these two features as a courtesy to other readers.Infinite complexity according to simple rules.

Nevertheless, it is important to note that just because you hide something behind a 'mask' doesn't mean that it is immune from common decency or the rules of the site. Morgan Kane's point is very important and I'm happy he mentioned it."Wounds are all I'm made of. Did I hear you say that this is victory?"
