Dear reader,

Many people have given their valuable time to create a website for the pleasure of posing questions to Michael Moorcock, meeting people from around the world, and mining the site for information. Please follow one of the links above to learn more about the site.

Thank you,

  • Explosive Growth Of MWM Visitorship

Check this out. I just found a hidden cache of reports for our traffic at MWM.

About a year and a half ago I told you we were getting traffic of 10,000 unique visitors at our peak. The average was around 7,500 each month for an entire year. Get this. Since we moved to this new portal and I fixed a couple of small issues with it (enhancing our relevancy at Google and the growth of relevant posts at the site) I have new numbers to show everyone that are mind-blowing.

For the years of 2002 to 2003 we grew from around 5,000 avg to 7,500 avg over two years. I can only show logs from a short period from Aug 2004 to Jan 2005, but the numbers are impressive:

    Aug 2004 39433
    Sep 2004 45798
    Oct 2004 49479
    Nov 2004 53409
    Dec 2004 58891
    Jan 2005 80766

We doubled our visitorship in the last 6 months, and we have 8 times the traffic we had in Nov 2003 just before the windstorm.
The cat spread its wings and flew high into the air, hovering to keep pace with them as they moved cautiously toward the city. Then, as they climbed over the rubble of what had once been a gateway and began to make their way through piles of weed-grown masonry, the cat flew to the squat building with the yellow dome upon its roof. It flew twice around the dome and then came back to settle on Jhary's shoulder. - The King of the Swords
