Heh, when the membership finally reaches 5,000 members, this post may seem prophetic to some. :lol:

We all know, Berry, that it's just a matter of time. I'm curious
at the first derivative of membership growth on a monthly
basis. Is the growth linear? Quadratic? Exponential? I can
see the academic papers now on "Growth Trends in MWM Membership
as a Function of Fluctuations in U.S. Employment." :lol:

We may not constitute a proper legion, but perhaps we'd
qualify as the New Golden Horde until our Legion Certification
comes in. ;)

A legion? Sounds more like a little over 2 cohorts!

(A Roman legion was approximately 5,000 men. It varied a little over time,
from around 4800 to over 5200, depending on the system of organization.)

Still, 1,000 people is an impressive accomplishment.

Well if you use Macs, i think since Operating System 7.1,
a desktop calculator was available.

I think it was no longer available on system 9.

I wonder why? :?:

I've been paying casual attention to the growth rate of membership in MWM over the last several months. Extrapolating the current trend, I predict we'll hit 2000 members sometime in early July.

There are a lot of "guests" who look at the site, and there are also a number of members who join but are no longer, or never became, active participants. Hard to say what the effective participation is these days without more data.
