  • Introduction

Well, I donآ´t know if it was necessary to open a new thread for this, but I just wanted to introduce myself and let me say that I am very impressed with the kind of connection Michael Moorcocks has with his Fans. I am also very impressed with the Feedback you give him.
So enough of my boring introduction and thank you for reading this little ,,not really about me" thread.

Well Michael is a tremendous shining example of a human being and we all gravitate towards him, and are taking advantage of his generosity as long as he is willing. It's obvious that there is "giving as well as taking" going on here. :)
If you are a fan, this is the place to be!
If you aren't, well there's a vast amount of good books to pick from where you can choose start off.
If you are into intellectual conversation, this is the place to be also!
    Welcome aboard, evil one!

Seems like I will be having a good time.
Yes, I am a fan and I read the Elric Saga and am continuing with Corum a soon as I get it back from a friend of mine.
I am into intellectual conversation though my vocabulary is a little small. I will do my best to represent my knowledge and opinion.

      sincerely,
      Astaroth

PS: How did you know of the evil heritage?

Isn't Astaroth the name of a demon?

I am a fan of Mercyful Fate

On the Melissa album there is a song called
"At the Sound of the Demon Bell."

        ;)

Melissa is the first Mercyful Fate album.

            Melissa is the title track.
The lyrics talk about a girl
who is taken away to be burned
            at the stake.
            Melissa is a witch.

            Melissa
            Lyrics by King Diamond

I'm kneeling in front of the altar
            Satan's cross upon the wall
            Strange emptiness
a crystal ball between two candles

            Melissa... has entered another life

            Melissa... you were mine
            Melissa... you were my light

            Oh, she was a witch
Oh, why did they take you away

Melissa, you were the queen of the night
            Melissa, you were my light
            Ooooh
I swear, I swear revenge on the priest
            The priest must die
He must die in the name of Hell

            Melissa, can you hear me?
            Melissa, are you there?

            Nothing's left
            outside at the stake
They've taken her away from me

(::whisper:: don't worry Melissa's still with us)
            ________________
            It's a Black Metal ballad.
            Beautiful song.

The lyrics are very interesting and seem to tell a story although to hear it would probably be best.
              Thanks for the wonderful lyric.
I will go to bed now here in Germany it 12:35.
              Good Night!

Wasn't that the name of the little sister on 'Them' as well? Now that this thread is officially hijacked. Sorry. Welcome aboard, Astaroth!

                  Yes, I second that sentiment.

Welcome Astaroth, Demon of Laziness - I feel like I already know you.

                  :D
When they had advanced together to meet on common
ground, then there was the clash of shields, of spears
and the fury of men cased in bronze; bossed shields met
each other and the din rose loud. Then there were
mingled the groaning and the crowing of men killed and
killing, and the ground ran with blood.

Hello Astaroth, and welcome to the forum!

I have to thank you for choosing to sample my avatar pack. Bless you!

I was going to worship a demon of laziness too, but I couldn't be bothered.

                      I feel like home.
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.
                      @DeeCrowSeer: Thatآ´s yours?
Nice, althought the art is a little kind of comic,it suprisingly fits to the Theme of Elric. You don't go to find the lazyiness, the lazyiness finds you!

@Von Weiner: Yeah, I think your one of my best examples that lazyiness does pay off

What do you think of the signatue?
                      Somebody heard it before?

                      sincerely,

                      Astaroth

Yeah, but they called her "Missy" instead of "Melissa."

Well that are very interesting Theories of how the Demon Astaroth looks like, but I have a other Theorie.
You seem to be Angel Fan ,too or a very busy google user. :)
                            Thanks for the Page!

My daughter is the huge Angel fan. Although you are right about Google. Using it, we find that not only is it an Angel quote, but it's specifically from episode #67 entitled "Deep Down" -- first episode of the fourth season.
