That's even better John!
I've never heard any of this material.
Mike"s going to do it once again by creating a time shift and catapulting us all back 25/30 years.
Pay no heed to the critics...just listen and love.
Gotta Love It.
Thanks.
Vg.

Mine came a couple of days back, but I gave it to my lovely bride to wrap as a Christmas present.

Ah, but that's something else to look for under the Tree:

Fuzzy warm socks, new shorts and a Deep Fix CD.

Wow! That producer of yours is a hard fellow with the coin if he won't send your own good self a copy of your own disk.

Got my copies today. The rehearsal stuff might be interesting, but a bit embarrassing here and there -- out of tune. Trying out ideas before we had a producer or engineer. I don't think there are any studio recordings (like Bang! Bang! Bang! and Good Girl, Bad Girl). Entropy Tango's the most finished. And I think there are still a few more tracks like Pierrot's Song of Positive Thinking to be discovered on tape. But they've done a great job of cleaning up what were, after all, cassette tapes. We'd wiped a lot of the reel to reel. If you're interested in hearing work in progress, then this should suit you. I think I'm proudest of I Hear You Weeping in the Night because it's very difficult to sing. I would have used women for several songs, of course, once we came to do the pieces professionally. I'm trying to sing those songs in women's voices. A few unusual instruments there, including a child's toy organ.
I do mandolin. Pete and I both do glockenspiel... But it's all a hint of what might have been. I'm very glad to have it on CD and am pleased with what Noh have done.
Beautiful cover, too!

The lyrics page they list, www.nohpoetryrecords.com/moorcock, doesn't exist, either.

At least, not at the moment, anyway.

A couple of the lyrics are in Brian Tawn's Dude's Dreams: The Music of Michael Moorcock.

Yeah, lyrics would be good, since some bits are obscure. I'd be happy to clarify if someone wants to post them on the site! But we dropped a slightly more ambitious two-record idea because we were getting very late in issuing it and I couldn't get to the Bay Area because my foot worsened, etc. but maybe if this one does all right we can do another sometime. Even record some new stuff. There are enough musicians about in both Austin and the Bay...
Oops -- a falcone just flew over and delivered this:

The main weblink for cd is http://www.nohpoetryrecords.com/moorcock.html
There, you'll find a link for lyrics, which we are posting (one a
day, as we celebrate the December release).

Thanks!

One of the links on there is to a MySpace page with sample tracks.

Very good they sound too, Mike.

A lot of thanks lower down, in case you've not seen them, as well.

I've put an order in for this cd, it sounds like it will be pretty interesting.

I did not wanna miss out on all the fun. (have a Tom Strong on it's way as well, it's a good time of the year for me to catch up on some of the small items...)

Update:

It took less than two days for the cd to arrive! Very fast!

Most of the lyrics are shown in The Entropy Tango book.
I am reading it now to compliment the cd.
I have to mention again how comparatively similar The Entropy Tango and The Disco Tango really are.
The latter being Nikt.

i'll have to that (re-read the lyrics from the book)! Right now I'm finishing off Stranger in a Strange Land. I promised to do that some time ago to defend a link to Starship Stormtroopers I posted elsewhere. I may have also promised to read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, but I'm not going to search my memory on that one for a few months. More than enough time for a re-read of the whole of The Entropy Tango and Gloriana.
