No doubt; the more I read about your league, the more I wish that some of those games were carried over here. I'm going to check into on-line streaming. If you're interested in some occasionally decent North and Central American football games on internet TV, go to the CONCACAF league website, and you can sign up for free streaming of games. I watch 'em when I'm out of NYC on business trips.

Dude, you are speaking my language when it comes to Aston Villa. I'm learning to like that team a lot. I've been watching a good number of their players. At the moment, I'd say that my favorite teams in the Premier League would be, in no order, AV, Fulham and Man City, but that has absolutely nothing to do with what I think of their win-loss ratios.

(continued...) AC Milan has put the hurt on a heckuva lot of teams over the millenia, so there's definitely no dishonor in getting a shaft from the ref on their behalf! Underdog teams are a lot of fun to root for because they'll break your heart as often as not. I understand the drama that Dundee U might have put its fans through, because I've been a fan of the NFL's legendarily underdog Cincinnati Bengals for a long time. A few years ago, the best team we've had in decades--one with a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl--had its quarterback's leg broken (at or in the knee I think) right on the field at the beginning of the first playoff game against the team's archenemies, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tens of 1000s of people in the stands went silent all at once. It was one of the worst things I've seen happen during a US sporting event.

Finally...it is a shame about Zamora. I like that guy. The Argzoon has had to purchase that razor-stubble dude from Newcastle, Carroll.

I've already informed Mrs. GC that when (not if) we go to Scotland one of these years, I'm going to a Scottish league game. Between what you write and what I've been reading on the internet, the leagues up there sound great. I like watching lower-cost teams smack the hell out of each other, because the players are often striving hard to get on to the bigger contracts and stages and they'll fight hard to get there. That's why I like college sports conferences in the US better than many of our biggest pro sports leagues (US football and basketball in particular).

Isn't Fulham's history vis-a-vis the Barclays Premier League a bit similar to Dundee's history vis-a-vis the Scottish league? It seems like they've been outsiders too.

TF, which Scottish FA team do you follow the most closely? Dundee United? FC? I know nothing about the Scotland leagues--as I can't get any of them on NYC satellite TV--but it looks like a good tight set of leagues & teams over the internet.

Thanks! For some reason I didn't see your response til a few minutes ago...I must have missed the original posting of the notification. Anyhow, I indeed left Zamora in, and I'm glad I did so. I'm transferring off the 2 Blackpool players currently on my roster tomorrow night. Their stats were unreasonably bloated by that first-week win.

I'll probably replace at least one of them with somebody from Fulham. I like what that manager is doing with the Fulham team, and the new defenders he's brought in from the Algerian and Mexican World Cup teams.

Hey, TF: I've got Harewood from Blackpool and Zamora from Fulham as 2 of my forwards for The Argzoon (in Barclays). All week, I've been switching them back and forth, with one on the pitch and one on the bench, for this weeks' game between their clubs. Which of the two would you put on the pitch? I've currently got Zamora out there because he looks steadier/more reliable to me.

your correct! and I knew it came from ZAPPA album[it came back to me ,and I know a guitarist that studied under him at a guitarist institute in California, and of a bass player on ZOOT ALLURES [sic]] and have seen the album, the correction is welcome for those not in the know but the face looks to me like as I commented.and now I tread softly lest the guitar gods unleash a most spine shattering power chord upon me

I am assuming it means close to" I hope you are in a fine situation" or "In a good way". I feel like a ignorant of the language tourist here at times and try to watch what I say. your"thespian title":"thingfish" seems a little like a possible name for a lovecraftian spawn of DAGON or some such and the Icon reminds me of a unskilled Dreamer in the lands of dream which also looks like the face Bazai the wize as he looked upon the great ones upon Hatheg-Kla unlawfully and saw next the other guardian gods which drive men mad. I myself am Fine and have been in much much worse situations........hmmm I would like to play matchmaker of GODS and "HOOK UP" Nyarlathotep the crawling chaos with lord Arioch of Chaos would they perhaps produce Fractal BOY of the not quite not there but yet not there ?the logical and respectable spawn of chaos.it make more cents then agent 99 mixing it up[she's a goodly wife married to Maxwell smart and stands firm in her fidelity].

PHEW!!! Glad to hear it. There is talk of a sequel, but I think it would be ruined by one, personally. Des
